Book a Private Session or Class

Private Sessions

Our Private Sessions are designed to offer you one-on-one time with an expert trainer, tailoring each session to your specific goals and needs. Whether you’re working on rehabilitation, enhancing performance, or simply moving with more vitality, your session is all about you.

    • Purchase the client special HERE.

    • All 3 sessions must be booked in 6 weeks. No extending past expiration date.

    • No refunds or credits.

    • Fulfills the prerequisite to be eligible to participate in our small group equipment classes. You can mix your NCS between Pilates and GYROTONIC®, but in order to join our equipment classes, you must have completed a minimum of 3 Private sessions in the discipline that you plan to take class in at UBSJ.

    • If you are using the NCS as your prerequisite into class, please let your trainer know so they can best prepare you for our equipment classes.

    • One purchase per new client only.

  • Important Billing Information


    Booking your first session is easy! Simply use the ‘BOOK’ tab on our website to schedule and pay in advance. After your first session, you have two options for booking future appointments:

    1. Continue booking online through our website for flexibility and convenience.

    2. Schedule directly with your trainer. If you choose this option, sessions will be billed within 24 hours of completion using the credit card on file.

    For ongoing training, we’re happy to discuss setting up a standing weekly appointment to keep you on track with your goals. Please note, all first-time appointments must be booked and paid for online prior to your session.

Small Group Classes

Small Group Classes combine individualized attention with the motivation of a shared experience. With only 4 clients per session, you’ll receive tailored guidance while building strength, mobility, and balance through mindful movement. View the schedule in the booking form to find a class that fits your routine.

Please note: For safety and familiarity with the equipment, clients are required to complete 3–5 private sessions at Urban Body San Jose before joining any equipment-based group class.

FAQs

  • There will be a full charge for sessions and classes that are not canceled 24-hours in advance. For new clients, our 24-hour cancellation policy requires you to pay upon booking the first appointment.

  • All first time sessions and drop-in sessions are booked online. Ongoing Private sessions are considered appointments and are booked internally through your UBSJ trainer.

  • Classes can be booked through the Mindbody calendar on our website at urbanbodysanjose.com/movement. Simply select your class, create or log into your Mindbody account, and complete your reservation.

  • A private session at UBSJ is a one-on-one appointment with just you and a trainer. A class at UBSJ is a small group setting with anywhere between 4-15 people, depending on which class you join. BOTH are scheduled online and must be booked a minimum of 24-hours in advance so that our teachers can plan. 

  • -Please note that we work closely with Doctor/Physical Therapist referrals and may require a note from your physician before your first session OR after your initial session to clear you for Pilates and Gyrotonic exercise. This is to ensure your safety and health so that we can honor any contraindications you may have been given.

    - All purchased sessions or classes hold a 3-month purchase value. WE DO NOT EXTEND  CLASSES OR SESSIONS AFTER THEY EXPIRE.

    -WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS or class rollovers. Please make sure you cancel 24-hours ahead of time.

    - For safety and hygiene, all clients must wear sticky socks. Available for purchase at the studio.

    - Regularity of Practice: For optimal results and wellness, we recommend practicing three times per week. Please remember that Classical Pilates and the GYROTONIC method are practices, therefore having consistency is vital. A regular and consistent practice will accelerate your results and enhance your overall health. Remember that movement practices become part of your healthy lifestyle.

    - When you arrive at Urban Body San Jose, please remove your shoes, put on your sticky socks and silence your cell phone.

    - Please bring your own water bottle! We have a water refill station but do not provide cups. We sell water bottles for your convenience. 

    -We strongly advise that you book your sessions out a minimum of two months out as our studio can be fully booked during optimal appointment times and we want to make sure you are able to maintain your practice.

    - We bill all cards on file for Private Sessions after completion, unless you book and pay online ahead of time. We do require a credit card on file to reserve an appointment. All group classes require payment upon booking online.

    - All classes and session purchases are non-refundable and expire within 3 months of purchase.

    - Only clear liquids allowed in the studio.

    -If your normal trainer is unavailable for your regular standing session(s), we will be in touch to let you know if we need to reschedule your day and time with another trainer or to let you know that your session will remain on the schedule with a different trainer. AT UBSJ, OUR TEAM WORKS WITH ALL OF OUR CLIENTS. PLEASE HAVE THE EXPECTATION THAT YOU WILL WORK WITH MANY OF OUR TRAINERS AT TIMES. This is the gift we give to our community that sets our studio apart from others. We work together so that our clients can thrive.
